Creating a Social Campaign Funnel
& Messaging Framework

Ramsey is the performance-driver and culture-creator at Strategy Labs. He founded Strategy Labs in 2016 when he realized that few agencies that dealt in hard facts existed. So, he built one that did.

The digital media landscape is ever-changing. Keeping up with trends and best practices can be challenging as we have witnessed exponential change in channel mixes in the last decade. It is now widely quoted that Google, Facebook, and Amazon comprise almost 70% of all digital advertising spend. Given the programmatic nature of these platforms, the barrier of entry for smaller brands to compete on a national level no longer exists. The challenge is that with small to medium budgets you have to be confident in the digital strategy you take to market. Many campaigns fail before they even get started due to incorrect tracking implementation and campaign set-up in relation to campaign goals.

In this workshop we will review the foundational marketing structure for a direct response campaign (e-commerce or lead generation) within Facebook’s Ads Manager platform. This will include developing a marketing funnel from start to finish, with details on selecting the correct campaign type, conversion type, audience set-up, messaging frameworks, exclusion rules, and more. By the end of this workshop your view on how to run social campaigns will be expanded and you should have a more tools in your media buying toolkit.

As a MarCom member, you know STCU as the whip-smart marketing team that sets the standard for social media, and hides purple pens under your sofa cushions. But did you know that it’s also a credit union? It’s true! STCU has 200,000 members who live in every state and have opened the STCU e-newsletter on every continent except Antarctica. Founded by Ernie McElvain, an English teacher, drama coach and swimming instructor, STCU originally operated out of Lewis and Clark High School. Summertime hours were 9:30-11 on Thursday mornings, and members could keep up to $300 in their accounts. Seventy-six years later, members have 24-hour access, and accounts are federally insured to $250,000. Other big changes: STCU no longer keeps money in a shoebox, or hosts funerals in our branches (Ernie’s memorial service was the first and only). Moral of the story: Things change, but STCU is “Here for good."
