The organization was originally called the Spokane Public Relations Council (SPRC). In 2007, the organization completed a rebranding effort – officially changing its name to the Spokane Regional Marketing Communications Association, or MarCom, and updating its mission statement – in order to better reflect the makeup of its membership and evolving communications industry.
MarCom’s mission is to be Spokane’s leading communication organization dedicated to advancing the integrated marketing communication profession through professional development, community impact, and a commitment to credibility.
